In addition to holding a research chair at Concordia University, I am Professor in the Department of Communication Studies, on the Executive Board for the Centre for Technoculture, Art & Games (TAG), and affiliate faculty in the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. I am also past editor of the journal Critical Studies in Media Communication, and I serve on the International Selection Advisory Committee for the Strong Museum's World Video Game Hall of Fame.
